DHABI - A PROFILE
With a view to enhance the spirit of Unity and channelize
the talents of Tamil ladies,
TLC was formed on October 18th 2001 in Abu
Dhabi, by Founder President Mrs Meena Venkatesh.
She developed a team
of 15 enterprising ladies from the southern Indian state
of Tamil Nadu, which is known for its rich
history and cultural legacy. Now we are proud to announce that TLC, comprises of over 1000 Tamil families and has successfully completed
6 years of relentless service to not only the Tamil community but
also to the wide spectrum of Indians in ABUDHABI .
TLC Life Members are

Iliyas, Mrs.Shenbagavalli Vasu and Mrs.Latha Kalaiselvan
along with the committee members Mrs.Banu Subramanayam,
Mrs. Shagarbanu Ansari and Mrs. Jaishree Raghavan have taken
the initiative to march ahead and promote Social, cultural, educational and humanity
Service. Tamil Ladies Circle membership
is FREE for all Tamilians in ABU DHABI.

From a humble beginning .. The meetings were conducted at the residences
of the members who shared the responsibility by turns. however
with the increase in the strength, TLC felt the necessity to conduct
sessions in a more formal / organised setting.
Cultural Foundation,
Abu Dhabi, was kind enough to Register us and offer its
premises "The DELMA CORNER" to TLC for the monthly
Sessions, this noble gesture from the Cultural Foundation gave TLC not only a solid platform but also, recognition
among the Residents of ABUDHABI.
Achievements
So far.
- TLC has been instrumental in teaching Tamil as mother tongue, and started Tamil Classes on 5/12/2001 and awarding
certificates to the students.
- Active Participation
of Tamil children at the India Pavillion DSF events (GLOBAL VILLAGE , Dubai.)
- Rendered financial assistance
to deserving and needy students to pursue Higher Education, TLC
also helps Indian Worker Community for free medical checkup and
welfare.
- Published

at the 3rd Annual Day celebration .
